    FRAMED SCHOOL WRITING SLATE
    KITCHEN MESSAGE BOARD/CHILD'S WRITING TABLET
    Since these old schoolhouse writing slates are no longer practical to use as originally intended, they now serve nicely as kitchen message boards or as toy writing tablets for children.
    This slate measures 8-1/2" long x 6-1/2" wide. The
    slate shows light wear and is in very good condition. It is lined on one side. The hardwood frame shows moderate wear as it is missing most of its original fabric wrapping on the edges.
    The pictures show both sides of the slate.
    A very nice early schoolhouse slate!
